Acura Headlights Installation Guide - Acura Head Light Information

So you finally found the right set of Acura Headlights for your baby. Now you are ready to install them. The questions is: "How to install Acura Headlights?" Don't be scared, installing Acura Head Lights is actually pretty easy. It can be broken down into a few major steps. Follow this Acura Headlights installation guide and you will have no problems! This particular installation guide is tailored to a 1996-1998 Acura TL. Your car may be even easier if you can get the headlight out without removing the bumper.

1) Disconnect all wires leading to your headlights!

2) Take out the bulbs from your old Acura Headlight!

3) Remove the corner lights Acura Headlight on the bottom portion of your bumper.

4) Remove the Grille

5) Remove the bumper itself. It is held on by 5 bolts, 3 in the front and 2 screws under the tirewell in the front. Your need a phillips screw driver to remove it. (This is only for some Acura models, if you can remove your headlights skip the next 2 steps)

6) After you remove the bumper, remove the metal reinforcement bar.

7) You will now see the 3 bolts on the bottom holding the Acura headlight down. Remove those and remove the 2 bolts on the top of the light.

8) You may now pull the headlight out. You may have to move it from side to side to get it out.

It is recommended that you have a friend help you put onj the bumper and reinforcement bar afterwards. It can be tricky to put back on!
